Amtrak Heritage Locomotive Visits Washington, D.C.

Amtrak has repainted a P42 locomotive, No. 145, in a heritage scheme in honor of Amtrak's 40th Anniversary this year. The locomotive was modified at Beech Grove, Indiana, Amtrak's heavy repair shops. In this photo taken February 1, 2011 Amtrak No. 145 is at Washington Union Station awaiting the arrival of Train 97. No. 145 in was added to the train to lead it south, all the way to Miami.
