DCNRHS Member Alan Freed can be credited as one of the pioneers of the track speeder movement. In 1980, shortly after the railroad shutdown, Alan rode from Miles City, Montana to the end of the Milwaukee Road in Washington State. Along the way he took fabulous photos. The railroad is abandoned now, and many of these scenes are lost forever, save Alan's work. Along the way he took fabulous photos. His new web site, www.weedroute.com, shares the photos from his experience. It is worth your time.
