From the DOVER HARBOR Archives

Back in the early 1980s, not long after DCNRHS acquired our legendary Pullman DOVER HARBOR, we had a big job to do: return the livery to the correct color and lettering. One of our members, Russ Wilcox, set out to do that.  He contacted the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, which has heavy weight Pullman of the same era, and made arrangements to trace the lettering on their car Lotos Club.  We recently found some correspondence on this topic, which is shared below.  It just goes to show the great lengths we have gone to return our Pullman to its authentic grandeur!
