After a weekend at Grand Central Terminal in New York City as a guest of the Metro North Railroad, Dover Harbor returned home on 5/13/2013 behind Amtrak's No. 91, the Silver Star.  The photo shows the Dover Harbor at Halethorpe, MD bringing up the markers.

Our mission in attending Grand Central Terminal's Parade of Trains was to a) Return the car to a station she once ran out o regularly in the 1930s and 1940s (Dover Harbor had not been to GCT since DCNRHS bought her in 1979), and b) educate the public.   And educate we did.  7 volunteers staffed the car over the three day 10-12 May, 2013.   Over 5,000 people got a first-hand look and walk through of our shining example of "The Golden Age of Railroading."  Many private cars never open their doors to the public, but we do!
