DCNRHS 1949' Budd Built passenger car, the Franklin Inn, made its debut on 9/17 on a trip to Richmond, Williamsburg, and Newport News, Virginia behind Amtrak's train No. 67 and then returned on Amtrak Train No. 66.

On Friday, September 23rd, the car was seen on Amtrak's Cardinal leaving Alexandria, Virginia westbound on a charter move. A short video is here:
This trip had been scheduled for late August and then again in September, but track conditions on host railroad CSX due to Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee has forced Amtrak to cancel the runs.
