Be sure to check out the feature article about DCNRHS in the December 2013 issue of
Trains Magazine. Entitled "Keeping up with the Pullmans" and written by well-known author Karl Zimmermann, the article takes an in-depth look at our organization, our equipment program, and our volunteers and describes the author’s ride on the Dover Harbor to New York for its appearance at the Parade of Trains at Grand Central in May. In addition to providing a comprehensive history of the Dover Harbor, the author captures the essence of the behind-the-scenes activities that perpetuate the experience of traveling by Pullman, 46 years after the end of scheduled Pullman service. Many of our volunteers are mentioned by name and the article includes a number of pictures of the Dover Harbor and our volunteers hard at work on Chapter trips. Trains has paid a tremendous tribute to the all-volunteer DCNRHS and the many people who have worked for years to support the Chapter and the Dover Harbor in public view and behind the scenes!
