The George Washington Masonic National Memorial
101 Callahan Drive
Alexandria, Virginia 22301
The George Washington Masonic National Memorial in Alexandria,
Virginia, is our gathering place on the third Friday of every
month. The contract is renewable every three months. The Memorial
building is the spired stone building high atop Shooters Hill,
directly across the street from the Alexandria Union Station,
and is very near the King Street Metro Station. The address
is 101 Callahan Drive.
For general directions,
please see the map. For those who choose to drive, there
is parking available on the Memorial grounds. From Callahan
Drive, turn up the hill and bear left at the "Y" (wye) and
proceed past the main entrance to the parking area on the
east side of the grounds. The main entrance closes at 5 p.m.,
but members can enter the side door near the parking lot
after 7:30 PM. There are some steps, but a ramp is also available.
A security officer can help with directions to the West Dining
Room, which is on the same floor as the entrance, but on the
opposite side of the building. Access will be allowed at 7:30
p.m. See you there!
FYI
- The memorial is kind of hard to miss. It sits high on top
of a significant hill and has a spire on it in some ways similar
to the Washington Monument in D.C. The memorial is located up
the hill (it's a hefty walk) from the Alexandria Amtrak Station,
which in turn is adjacent to the King Street Metro Station.
